I have no desire to visit Aruba although my step son and daugher in law and grandson are going there sometime this year. I'd rather get back to the British Virgin Islands or Caymans. I STILL haven't been to Turks and Cacios yet so that is on the bucket list....

And I bet it's no cheaper to go to Aruba from the USA than it is to Barbados. We are doing a return trip to Barbados this year and the diving there is great as far as I am concerned..

What are "cold polars" dive_cecil. I'm assuming that is some sort of beer?

It was not the airfare as much as a cheap room, $600 for a week on the ocean was to good to pass up.

Polars are Ok, Ice Cold Brights are the best!

Hint: Pack your regulators in a soft sided cooler and carry on. When you get to the Island you are prepared to keep your beverages cool. Also, save your first few plastic soda bottles and fill with tap water and freeze overnight, now you have ice and cold water in your cooler.
If you want to take it over the top carry along a solar shower for rinsing off after shore dives. The tap water is great!
